» Kavvas Glass Studio Published 12/22/2012

Dear Elizabeth @ TopMark

Thank you very much for sponsoring  my studio by donating   IBG alginate and Flexi brushable polyurethane mould making material for my past Mould Making Course on 13 to 16 October 2012.

The course was attended by 6 students (my limit was 5). Three students had PhD in art, one of them was also a professional sculptor. Two were gentlemen who were industrial glass manufacturers, and the sixth was an archeologist with interest in glass and ceramic. They all made amazing comments about my course. One industrial manufacturer’s answer to one of my question if they would recommend my course to their friends, replied. “Yes to friends but not to competitors”. Says it enough.

Students were very successful in using your alginate with body parts, and brushable polyurethane. The result was superb definition and repeatability. They were all given your contact information to buy these products and more.

I am sorry for not being able to write to you earlier. I had to rush overseas and I have only been back for 2 weeks.

I take this opportunity to wish you a very happy and healthy holiday season and New Year.

Thank you once again for your generous contributions.

Kind regards

Nejat Kavvas

» Adria Morgan at Uno Design Published 11/16/2012

Adria Morgan with Uno ♥

Adria was born in Wellington and studied at Otago Polytechnic’s School of Fine Arts in the early 1990s. She has since divided her time between regularly exhibiting, and working as an Art Director for film and television. Often the disciplines of her work in the film industry have filtered through to her more freewheeling art practices.

A technically skilled figurative painter, in recent years Adria has focused on exploring new and difference mediums. Her most recent pieces have been created by pouring liquid resin onto stretched canvas and manipulating the resin into controlled compositions; the vivid colors swirl and create the illusion of spatial depth.

Adria has been the recipient of several Creative New Zealand Arts Grants...

There will be fake blood, LOTS of fake blood. Please bring old clothes that you do not mind being stained. Most of the fake blood can be washed off but BODYFX will not be liable for any damage done to clothing.
