New ZeaLand's Body Art Awards is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2005 to showcase and give exposure to the rising number of special effects and make-up artists in New Zealand.

When students leaving New Zealand’s special effects and make-up schools for film and TV it is NZ Body Art Awards 2006 business to understand the issues involved.

Each year awards will be presented to the top special effects trainees and graduates, enabling them to extend their training and receive recognition for their efforts and dedication. Without the awards many artists and young talent would be unable to make themselves known to the Film and Television industry.

It is almost impossible for New Zealanders to be paid in positions at leading overseas workshops. But they will be able to work in workshops in Australia and the United States if they receive funding from New Zealand.

They will return to New Zealand with new skills, experience and expertise that they can share with schools and students to ensure New Zealand’s continuing excellence in the field of special effects and make-up of illusion.
