Foam latex is used to produce soft, strong prosthetic appliances for character makeup, and/or puppet skins with even greater elasticity. Its fine cell structure makes for invisible blending edges that makeup professionals have come to expect. Foam latex kits come with all the foaming, curing, gelling agents and mould release required. It is castable in most stone moulding materials, as well as fibreglass and some silicone moulds. Accessories include Latex pigments, Foam primer, Prosaide adhesive, Face & Body paint and SuperSolv remover.

Up until recently Alginate was the only really safe material for the casting of human body parts. It is flexible, very fast setting, will not adhere to anything and offers excellent reproductive plaster casts. It allows casting of otherwise delicate subject matter. Also new to the Special Effects industry is a Skin Safe Silicone. Called Pinkysil, this material is fast setting, will give a more permanent impression as it can be reused.
