Release Agents
Release Agents have two main functions. First they may be necessary to coat the master prior to taking a mold. This is to ensure that the mold making material will release from the master with the impression intact.
Second they may be necessary prior to pouring liquid materials into a mold. It may be necessary to have applied a 'release agent' to the surface of the mold, to ensure the cast piece can be removed easily. This may be a liquid, or a spray, and as there are many variations available, please examine the requirements and specifications of both the casting material, and the release agent.

See further information on each of the listed Release Agents. A specific barrier agent may be required to ensure the release of the master, as well as the casts.
