Latex Liquid

Latex Liquid is still one of the most widely used materials for flexible moldmaking.This natural latex material has been pre-vulcanised to give it maximum elongation and excellent return memory without permanent distortion.

It can be brushed into all types of mould materials.  When using porous moulds, can be  slush cast by building up several layers. Superb for all types of mask making and especially good when used as a skin for polyurethane foams. Can be easily painted with most adhesive-based paints.

Picture shows liquid latex being brushed over a small figurine, within walls of KleanKlay.  The white latex will change to honey colour once dry. Several coats will be required to get sufficient thickness of skin, to enable the mold to be handled and material cast into it.

Latex Filler

An additive for slip cast latex. Used as a hardener when casting into a negative mould. Hardness can be varied by the amount of filler added.  Using this additive will lessen the stretch and flexibility of the latex piece.

Latex Thickener

Chemical to thicken Slipcast latex up to brush grade. Use @ 1.5% PBW. Useful for getting thicker latex, to help achieve a stronger skin by applying less coats.

Pros-Aide Adhesive / PAX Base

This very flexible and tenacious acrylic emulsion prosthetic adhesive has many applications. While liquid, it can be thinned with distilled water or thickened with cabosil into a paste. It can be mixed with cosmetic grade pigments and acrylics to create a smudge-proof appliance paint (pax paint). It is waterproof, hence difficult to remove from the skin.
