Plaster Bandage

This material is an openweave cloth, already coated in plaster. Requires dampening with water to activate the plaster, and allow it to set. Ideal for a rigid case over alginate lifecasts or as a fast case-mold over flexible molding materials. Applied in small strips, which have been immersed in water, then cross hatched over surface.  Several layers crosshatched, will ensure cohesion of the case.

Scrim

Open weave, natural fabric, scrim cloth is used in reinforcing plaster, stone molds and casts. It can be cut into sections or strips, immersed into the plaster, and applied to the walls of the cast or mold. It can be smoothed off and if necessary coated with more plaster. Will give added strength to the plaster, and provide anchoring points.

Size: 3" & 36" wide rolls or by the metre.

Silicone Keys

It's important that stone or plaster molds lock in place to achieve the thinnest possible seam. These pre-made silicone rubber keys are excellent for providing a registration point when the plaster molds are being made. Just put them into place and start mixing your stone or plaster. As they are flexible, they will pull out easily leaving a clean registration point. Saves plenty of time. Sold in sets.

Impression Trays

Plastic, perforated trays specially designed for holding alginate during the process of dental impressions.

Rubber Mold Bands

These bands offer an inexpensive yet durable means of holding sections of molds together. Made of high quality rubber, they can withstand heat up to 120°C.

Made of 100% nylon strapping with locked metal fasteners. Used to band most sizes and shapes of molds for a tighter fit.

USG Plasters - Ultracal 30

Most commonly used for pouring into alginate molds, as well as applying over clay sculptures to make molds for Foam Latex and Liquid Latex. Greyish in colour, 6000psi strength.
