Maximold - Discontinued
for a similar hardness silicone see M4642 Addition cured siliconeMAXIMOLD is a high performance, two component, tin catalysed RTV silicone rubber. It is designed as a 37 Shore A, giving a firmer, medium viscosity rubber providing excellent physical properties. Maximould displays good dimensional stability, low linear shrinkage and features a coloured catalyst to ensure thorough mixing. It is ideal for larger molds where a higher degree of self-support is required. Also recommended for two part or other matrix molds.
Ideal for -
- Multi-Purpose Moldmaking
- Two part or matrix molds
- Polyester, Polyurethane & Plaster Casting
- Large Rock & Garden Art Molds

ELASTOSIL® M includes a wide selection of addition-curing grades for moulds used in vacuum casting processes.
Wacker M4503
General purpose grade. Soft, high extensibility & mechanical strength.
Pourable, condensation-curing, two component silicone rubber that cures at room temperature and features:
• Good Flow
• Low Shore A Hardness (approx 25)
• High Tear Strength
• Great extensibility and elasticity
• Excellent long term stability of the mechanical properties of the cured rubber
• High resistance to casting resins, particularly polyester
APPLICATIONS
Due to the excellent mechanical properties of the cured rubber as well as its high resistance to casting resin, ELASTOSIL® M4503 is especially suitable for reproducing models with pronounced undercuts in casting resins.
Other materials, such as wax and plaster, may be cast without any problems in molds made from M4503.Skin Molds.
